AI Literacy

Highline's AI Literacy subcommittee has developed a three-part framework for understanding and learning about AI. The three parts are:

• Level 1: Grasping The Basics, such as how AI works and where it shows up in everyday life

• Level 2: Critically Assessing AI, with skills for assessing bias, accuracy, and ethical and social implications

• Level 3: Strategic and Ethical Application, integrating AI into workflows effectively and ethically

Throughout the 2026-27 Academic year, staff and faculty at the college will be sharing opportunities to learn more about the framework and to learn the skills required to be ethical users (or non-users) of AI.
